Overview
"At WrkSpot, safety is key. This article offers tips on maximizing panic button range and ensuring device reliability through charging."
What is the Range of the Panic Button?
- The PD03 panic button relies on a stable Bluetooth connection to your smartphone for proper functionality within a 20-foot range, ensuring quick and effective activation during emergencies.
- While 20 feet is the maximum range, the presence of obstacles such as walls, furniture, or other large objects may decrease this range. The maximum range is obtained when there is a clear line of sight between the panic button and your smartphone.
Maintaining Optimal Range And Connectivity
To ensure the panic button operates at its best, we recommend the following practices:
- Keep the panic button charged
Regular charging is crucial. A fully charged panic button maintains stronger connectivity and ensures reliability when you need it most. The battery of the panic button lasts for 3 weeks on a single charge (and takes around 1.5 hours to fully charge).
- Monitor connectivity alerts when disconnected or out of range
You will receive a notification on your smartphone if the paired panic button's connection to the smartphone is lost. This usually happens when the device is too far away from the optimal range. The smartphone app will automatically attempt to reconnect with the device once it comes back within range and show a notification when successful.
