If you find yourself in any emergency, you may trigger a panic alert to quickly inform others on your property so that they can send help your way.
This article focuses on triggering a panic alert using your smartphone. Please note that WrkSpot also supports triggering a panic alert via other means such as a panic button and/or a smartphone and you may refer to the related articles section for more details.
Panic alert priority types
There are two types of panic alerts based on their priority:
- Primary Alert: This is to be used in case of high-priority emergencies such as fire, earthquake, etc.
- Secondary Alert: This is to be used in case of lower priority emergencies such as slip & fall, etc.
Steps to trigger a panic alert
Step 1. Navigate to the panic trigger screen
- Open the Wrkspot Mobile App
- On the bottom bar, choose the panic icon to open the panic trigger screen
Step 2. Choose the panic priority (Optional)
- By default, the type of panic is a primary panic alert.
- If you wish to change to a secondary panic alert, click on the toggle button below
Step 3. Choose the panic type (Optional)
- In case you have enough time to specify what kind of emergency you've encountered, you may choose one or more panic types. This may help your supervisor or the security staff to understand your emergency better and provide specialized assistance based on the type.
- Please note that this step is optional, and by default the panic type is "Other".
Step 4. Initiate the alert
- At the bottom of the screen, you'll find a slider named "Initiate Alert".
- Drag the slider from left to right to initiate the alert

What happens after you trigger an alert?
- Once an alert is triggered, this incident is notified to all staff both on the web as well as on the phone. In the case of secondary alerts, only the managers are notified.
- In the case of a primary alert, the notification is followed by a loud siren to make sure that your alert is heard by the concerned staff.
- Your location details and sound recording (up to 20 seconds) will be sent along with the alert to help your manager provide specialized assistance.
