Property Beacon Deployment

This article is ONLY for WrkSpot customers that signed up Professional Onboarding.

 

Once you have received your shipment of beacons, you will open your box and notice they are all labeled by WrkSpot and allocated to the rooms and common areas.  

 

Please schedule a remote session with WrkSpot support for a personalized step by step deployment process.

 

Note: You can install the beacon using the double sided tape provided in the box. Beacons should be installed in all guest rooms and common locations that are located on the 2D map of the hotel and/or within the WrkSpot App.

The beacons are shipped to your location with the power on and are ready to be installed.

The beacons have a battery-life of about 2 years. Please see this article on changing the battery on the Minew Beacons.

 

Guest Room Location:

First preference: Beacons can be under the table/furniture in the center of the room (around waist height or higher). The beacon can be placed in the closet or behind a dresser can go behind a dresser drawer such as shown here:

 

 

Second preference: Under the bed (center of the room) or under the mattress where it is fixed in place.

Please avoid putting it behind a TV or behind metallic objects (wood is ok). Also, do not install beacon inside a bathroom.

 

Third preference: If there is no way to install the beacon under or behind an object, mount high on any wall.

 

Common Areas:

Since there are fewer places to conceal the beacon, we suggest mounting the beacon out of reach.
